Since these RDX's are really versatile SUVs, you're going to want a hitch that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. While some of our customers do do a little bit of towing, this will work good for that. But primarily most of our customers use their hitch for accessories, things like bike racks and cargo carriers. more

It's a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have a lot of different options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up.Now, the way you're going to mount any of your accessories to your hitch is going to be through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Today in our 2016 Acura TLX we're gonna be taking a loot at and showing you how to install the Draw Tite class one custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 24942. So here's what a hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed in our Acura. The cross tube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper and all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out, so it's not gonna be distracting from the looks. It's a class three, two inch by two inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs, from trailers to bike racks, this thing will do it all.It features vertical plate style safety chain loops, and the nice large opening will allow it to accommodate just about any size safety chain. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Acura MDX - Curt- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Acura MDX we're going to be installing CURT's Class 3, two-inch trailer hitch receiver, Part Number C13146.This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. As you can see the cross tube's hidden behind the bumper so you're only going to see the receiving tube sticking out the end here. It's a Class 3, two-inch by two-inch receiver so it's going to be great for all your towing needs from trailers to bike racks, it'll do it all.It's got hoop style safety chain loops so these would be great to accommodate just about any size safety chain that you might have.It uses a 5/8 inch hitch pin. Hitch pin and clips not included with this hitch, but you can pick one here up at etrailer.com. It features a 900 pound tongue weight, that's the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 6,000 pound gross towing capacity. That's how much you can pull behind it.If you're using a weight distribution system, your tongue weight's going to remain the same, but your gross towing capacity's going to increase to 8,000 pounds.You do want to check your vehicle's Owners Manual to ensure you're not exceeding its capacities.Now I've got some measurements for you to help when deciding on accessories. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Acura MDX, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Etrailer Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number E98840.So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it fully installed on our Acura. Now you can see that all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out, because that cross tube is actually gonna be tucked behind the bumper here, giving it a really nice appearance, not distracting from our Acura. It is a Class 3 hitch, which means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which means we're gonna have a lot of different options for accessories.Now the way we're gonna mount all of our accessories, the hitch can hold here on the side, and it is gonna accept a standard five eighths pin and clip. Now while these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up along with locking devices here at etrailer.com.As far as the safety chain connecting points go, it's gonna be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. But as you can see we're gonna have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off, and the slight offset from the hitch pin hole means it should give us a little bit better clearance so we don't have to worry about it interfering.Our hitch is gonna have a matte black carbide finish to it, so it's gonna blend in really nicely with the bottom of the bumper here, and it's not gonna be so distracting like some of those high gloss finishes are. It's also gonna help prevent any kinda scratches and hide the dirt and dust really well.As far as the weight capacity goes, our hitch is gonna have a 900 pound towing weight. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Acura RDX- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Acura RDX, we'll be having a look at, and showing you how to install, the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13130.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now, what's great about this hitch is that the only part you'll see hanging down is the actual receiver opening itself. The body of the hitch is completely hidden behind your fascia, giving us a nice clean look behind our RDX.Welded on the back of our receiver, we have this nice collar, which helps reinforce the opening, and gives us a nice finished look. Welded onto the bottom of our receiver is our tubular steel safety chain loops, which is the attachment point for our safety chains from our trailer. These have a fairly decent opening, so we shouldn't have much problem hooking on most safety chains to them.On the side of our receiver, you'll find the industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website as part number PC3.This hitch features a 600 pound tongue weight reading, which is the amount forcing down, and a 4,000 pound max gross trailer weight reading, which is the amount it can pull. more

You'll be easily able to use them with this hitch.Now, the main part of our hitch is completely hidden behind our fascia here. The only part that you'll notice is the actual receiver hanging down itself. With this nice welded collar on the end of it, it helps give us a nice, clean factory-like appearance, and does help reinforce the opening. Today, our 2015 Acura NDX, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install a draw-type, class three, match frame trailer hitch receiver. Part number 75225. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed, as you can see, our crosstube is going to be completely hidden behind our bumper. The only thing you're going to see is your receiver tube, it's going to be a class three, two-inch by two-inch and then hitch pin hole's going to be 5/8ths-inch in diameter. This hole here in the back is going to be for a J-pin stabilization device only and what the J-pin is going to do, it's going to take the shake and rattle out of any of your hitch mount accessories. Here we have your safety chain loop. As opposed to the plate style or the ring style, which are going to run flat, this is more of a compact style that's going to come straight down off of your receiver tube. It's very thick, it's going to give you plenty of stability. more

Now, both of these hitches are almost identical to one another, there are a few very, very minor differences and really it's just a cosmetic thing. Basically, with our safety chain connection points on our CURT class one hitch, we've got a plate style, there's plenty of room in the opening to connect whatever kind of chain you might want, but it is of a plate style. more

Today on our 2004 Acura TL, we're going to be installing the Draw-Tite Class 1 Sportframe trailer hitch receiver, part number 24755. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and tucked up underneath our back of our vehicle. The only part that you really see hanging down is our class 1 receiver itself, with the 1-1/4" opening, and then our safety chain loops here. These safety chain loops are nice because they are plenty big to give us enough opening for wide safety chains, if we have some. Right here we have our 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole. This hitch has a 200 pound max tongue weight rating and a 2,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Acura MDX - Draw-Tite- Video

Today in our 2008 Acura MDX we'll be installing the draw tight class three max range trailer hitch receiver. Part number 75614. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see it's tucked up nicely behind our bumper cover and the part that hangs down is the class three, two-inch receiver here and a little bit of the frame of the hitch. You may notice right here, there's this tab sticking out with a couple holes. This is for mounting a bracket to secure your wiring for your trailer harness such as a four pull flat or seven pull round. We also have these nice, easy to use safety chain loops right here. A plate welded on the bottom of the receiver. Really easy to use even for small diameters safety chains they should clip in there nice and easily. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Acura RDX - Draw-Tite- Video

Today in our 2009 Acura RDX, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver class 3, part number 75563. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. You can see it's going to tuck up very nicely under the bottom side of our bumper. The only thing that's going to be visible from the rear is going to be our receiver tube which is going to be a 2"x2" class 3. It's got two hitch pin holes, our standard 5/8" for our hitch pin. It's got 1/2" for our j pin stabilization device. It's going to have a nice black powder-coated finish, and it's going to feature a loop-style safety chain holders to be able to put your nice large safety chain hooks through there. more

On the bottom we have a Draw-Tite class three, part number 75614. The main difference between our two hitches here today is that our Draw-Tite here has this extra tab welded onto it where you can mount your electrical connections for your trailer wiring such as your four-pole flat or your seven-way RV connection. Our Draw-Tite hitch here has an additional hole that's in front of the standard 5/8 diameter hitch pinhole. more

This is a class 3 hitch offering the 2 inch x 2 inch opening. It's part number is 75225. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the MDX. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Acura TSX - Curt- Video

Today in our 2006 Acura TSX we will be reviewing and installing the CURT Custom Fit Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11455. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. It's going to have that nice sleek look and low-profile drag against the back side of the vehicle. You're going to see that the angled brackets down here on the bottom will come down along the bottom to help give you a little bit of extra support. It's going to be fully welded all the way throughout. It's going to have that black powder coat finish that's going to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion as well as your chain tie-downs and one and a quarter by one and quarter inch receiver tube with a half inch pinhole going all the way through. This hitch is going to be capable of 200 pounds, ton weight capacity, and 2,000 towing capacity. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Acura TSX - Draw-Tite- Video

On this 2012 Acura TSX, we're going to review and install part number 24899. This is a Class I Receiver Hitch from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the TSX. You can see at first glance it does fit underneath the bumper so you do see most of the hitch. However, it's got a kind of a cool angled shape to it so it goes back underneath and behind the bumper to its attachment points. This is our 1 1/4" opening up front right here and it uses a 1/2" diameter hitch pin or your favorite locking pin. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Acura MDX - Curt- Video

Today on our 2015 Acura MDX we're going to review and install the CURT class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number C13146. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, the hitch is completely hidden behind the rear fascia. This is a completely steel, fully welded constructed hitch that's got a really nice black powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. The only thing really exposed is our receiver tube. It's got our chain hold down on each side and a 5/8 pinhole that goes all the way through the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Acura TLX - Curt- Video

Today on our 2015 Acura TLX we're going to take a look at then show you how to install the Curt custom fit class one trailer hitch receiver, this offers the 1 1/4" opening, it's part number C11409. Now you can see the hitch, once we get it installed on the vehicle. It's going to be a nice, clean looking product. Kind of beefs up the back of the vehicle a little bit, beefs up the looks of it anyway. This is a class one hitch so we're going to have the 1 1/4" opening and the 1/2" pinhole diameter. This has the collar around it so your hitch immobilizers and stuff will work fine. more

Here's what the hitch looks like, once we get it installed on the vehicle. As you can see, there's a very short section that you can actually see. This is the round tube design. It's nice and soft, it looks real good on the back of the vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Acura RDX - Curt- Video

Today on our 2015 Acura RDX, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class III 2-inch Trailer Hitch. Part Number C13130. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once installed. As you can see, like most hitches that work on this vehicle, it's going to be a really nice, clean look. You get your tube that comes out. It's about flush with the magnum upper, maybe inset about an inch to the end so you're not going to have to worry about bumping your leg or anything like that. Now, compared to some of the other hitches, this one does offer a higher tongue weight capacity at 600 pounds. Gross trailer weight capacity is going to remain at 4,000 pounds, but, of course, we need to consult the RDX's owner's manual to make sure those are allowable. more

This is a custom fit, class III hitch that's going to offer a 2" opening. Part number is 75614. Here's what your hitch is going to look like once you get it installed on the vehicle. As you can see, not a whole lot hanging down below our factory rear bumper. You'll have that round tube design, so it's pretty sleek, kind of tapers in, nice and narrow, 2" opening. more
